Under Karina's leadership, the team was recognized by the National Speech and Debate Association as an Overall School of Excellence for five years in a row. This award is reserved for the top three speech and debate programs in the nation. In addition, her students were the 2011 Lincoln Douglas National Champions, 2012 Congressional Debate National Champions, 2013 Public Forum National Champions, 2013 Congressional Debate National Champions, 2014 Policy Debate National Champions and 2014 Original Oratory National Champion. Karina is a Diamond Coach with the National Speech & Debate Association and her team was recognized by President Obama in 2015.
Karina is passionate about speech and debate as she was a policy debater in high school and went to Gonzaga University on a debate scholarship. At Gonzaga University she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Relations. She also holds her Masters of Arts in Communication from San Jose State University.

Math Ph.D from Beijing University, Research scientist in Yale University, author of Euclidean plan geometry: For middle school and high school students. Many years of teaching experience in AMC/MathCount.
With his rich teaching experience in AMC, Dr. Zhang studied, analyzed and summarized a set of challenging problems which students usually would experience during the exam. He will focus on these difficult points, give detailed explanation, guide students to think through and develop problem solving strategies for these complicated problems.

Is experienced and passionate about helping students discover and hone their writing skills. Tino works in tech sector and spends his free time writing his novel about food culture. Tino was born and raised in Palo Alto, and graduated with honors in English from Whitman college.

Diana M.
Diana was born in Colombia. She has been passionate about language and education, she started tutoring and working with children since she was in high school. She moved to the United States to learn the language and experience the culture. Diana earned a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems at San Francisco State University, she received a certificate in Spanish Translation and Interpretation from The National Hispanic University in San Jose.
Diana's work at Scientific Learning Corporation, an educational and technology company, allowed her to nourish her passion for education. She was mainly responsible for creating web pages, and her Spanish language allowed her to help elementary school children improve their language and learning skills. Diana worked with technology companies in the Bay Area for more than 10 years and now she is following her passion for education as a Spanish teacher. Diana is very organized, creative and has excellent teaching skills. She plans her Spanish lessons based in students' abilities, interests and needs. Diana enjoys the energy and enthusiasm that learning a new language brings to the students. She loves teaching and seeing her students speak Spanish.
